i currently use a lump hammer but after nearly removing my apprentices arm other month im looking at some thing else...!!
also the lump damages the threads...! :(

I am aware of the general down lighter spot lights etc but whilst browsing the web for ideas, styles, costs etc I see some stuff is 240V supply...

Installed a load of this today, supplied by kitchen company, quality gear I have to say, flaming expensive! £60 a fitting, for the downlights, looks great though. (24v LED downlight)

The little beast even takes car wheel nuts of and packs 190nm. to say i was impressed is an understatement. It slams coach bolts into solid wood and drives into concrete no problem...
I know an led driver is normally required simlpy because led's dont draw enough power for a standard transformer to work, but if the total power of the led is within the VA rating of the 12v transformer will this be suitable?

Anyone got any experience of them? Looking for an 18V Combi, and saw AEG BSB18GLI302C 18V Li-Ion Combi Drill with 2 X 3Ah L Ion batteries for £150. Other better known brands all come with one battery for the same price

Hi Troops,
not so much an electrical issue as an electronics one, just realised that I've dropped a hairy one with making some crimbo led display lights (for me, for home). LED driver I got isn't up to the job, and my brain has ceased to function (mixture of cider and soldering fumes).... 10...
Looking at getting a small, probably 10.8v drill driver to leave in the tool bag to reduce repetitive strain injury. I find I hint use the 18v as much since it is that bit heavier and bulkier.
Is it worth getting an impact driver? Or just a drill driver?
I assume that the smaller 4-6v models...
