Extending cat 5 cable or telephone cable and maintenance free requirements?

I was wondering if the maintenance free requirements (MF) are the same with communication cable as with low voltage supplies? I can't see why they wouldn't be. The junction boxes for cat 5 cable or telephone cable where you just use the insertion tool have no screws that could come loose but I...

So you can spur off Spurs on a radial socket circuit, is this because the cable is protected via a 20amp breaker at the board compared to 32amp on a ring?

    Extending heater cable.

I have a wall panel heater with a 13amp plug and I want to extend the cable without having to take the heater apart. Is it safe to extend this with the exact same cable and if so can this be done with a connector strip in a choc box or using a 20A round junction box?

Extending the equipotential Zone of PME installation.

I was going to just add on to Voltz's thread but it seemed to come to a natural end but I had some questions. 1. A few experienced members say that you should not extend the (equipotential zone) EPZ of a PME system. Am I right in thinking that this is because of the possible potential between...

    extending ring main

I've got a twin socket above where a sink will go, the cable drop is from the ceiling, the socket needs moving 2m to one side. Is it ok to snip the two ring cables high up on the wall and fit two single outlets as a means of connecting new longer cables?
