I have been asked to carry out a PIR and i'm just wondering if i have to be an approved electrician. i have liability insurance and i'm qualified to 17th edition.
hi all just a quick question ive been looking at quotes and i would like to know if i actully need indemnity insurance its a given that i require public liability insurance thoughts please .
Just been thinking.. With all the panels out there now, with the differing warranties if a panel was to break down with its ten year warranty and you get the call, how do you go about getting it repleaced, by the wholesaler? or direct to the manufacturer?
well, for the first time ever I have been asked by a customer for deposit protection and third party warranty cover.
I don't want to go down the REAL route so wondered if anyone has ideas on who may provide this independantly.

I have a electrical company and am wanting to fit more alarms servicing and such do you have to register with anyone for this? and also who do you register with for your alarms to comply with insurance?
Are the car insurance companies controlled by the government?
I think they do whatever they like and charge on premiums whatever they like, unlikely us electricians whoo try to undercut each other .

I thought I saw somewhere in the mountains of paperwork I have trawled through over the past few weeks, a minimum amount of PI insurance set out by REAL, and can't find it now, is there a specified amount, or am I imagining it?
