Hi all
Apologies if it is a stupid question and have been discussed here before.

Generally I always hire a professional but since in current situation I need to replace of the switch in one of rooms. Situation is:

Current Scenario:

Plastic back box
Metal switch

Earth wire terminates in the back of metal on/off switch

New scenario:

Plastic back box

And plastic smart switch(lightwave) no way to terminate the earth wire in the switch.

What to do with earth wire??

Many thanks for your advises in advance.

Often plastic back boxes have a terminal for the earth wire.

If not, just terminate the cable end into a connector block or wago terminal.

Don’t leave it floating around unterminated or cut it off.
