Hi

I've recently fitted 2no 12v led small strip lights to the back of my van for extra light when its dark.

I wired them into my exiting internal light so they come on when i open the door and off when i close...

I have a problem with the lights though as when they go off they constantly flicker like there is still power running through cable, even though the rest of the factory fitted lights are off.

Is there as simple fix? someone mentioned they may need to be canbus lights (whatever that means?) but i can't seem to find canbus LED light fitting fittings? or is there a simple transformer that can solve this problem?

Thanks

not sure its that, as have a VW caddy and it locks itself automatically, even when doors open, so lights go of automatically too... hope that makes sense.

not had any problems with my LEDs, but then the van's not stuffed out with unnecssary electronicgizmos.

Did you leave the normal incandesant bulbs in the interior light you conected too?
The original light dims as its turned off and hence the flashing led.
Vw along with other manufacturers use cold diagnostics (pulses of low current signals to check the bulb is ok) leds use a lower current and can light up/flash with these signals
If the fitting you conected them to still has its original bulb fitted none of the above is relevent
