Discuss Air Transistor - The Simplest transistor in the Australia area at ElectriciansForums.net

Not exactly for functional use, the voltage is 2000v not enough to jump the big gap but closing switch reduces air gap by 50% although resistive this allows voltage to break down the small air gap and flash over, once half way it has already ionized the air to half point and can thus jup remaining air gap but this cant be maintained as constant stable current flow, and i believe its not a true transistor it just mimics one in the way its set up it just arcs and flashes randomly, so overall i dont agree with it been a transistor.
