Have a washing machine blowing the fuse , so tested socket all ok.

then notice have short between L&N on plug top, so take off top of machine and disconnect out going of mains capacitor , and it still shorting .

Is that me found my fault , don't want to order part

can I bypass capacitor and still work?

if that is a capacitor across L and N terminals, bin it. then see if the dhort has gone. it's only a rfi suppressor. if your radio is tuned to radio 1, you'll not see any detriment.

KO< smartarse. the d is next to the s. after ale, who cares?

Just out of interest, how did you identify this short, and what is its magnitude? Cheers fella

Did disconnecting it stop the tripping problem? You can run the machine without it but you might get interference on TV's and radios in the close vicinity.
