Have B16 breaker thatfeeds two double sockets in my garage. I have purchased a Nail Gun that trips the breaker on one use. from what I can tell the sockets are wired with the same wiring that the rest of the house is. Could I simply change the breaker to a higher rated one ? Or have to undertake something else There are three spare places on the control panel I would only need 1 socket for the nail gun

any advice appreciated

It is the type of circuit breaker probably causing it to trip, a Type B. Can you show a pic of it.

Without knowing the cable size I cannot suggest increasing its size to 20A but you could change it to a Type C 16A it may or may not resolve it.

As a side note, none of the breakers seem to line up with the labels.
looks like something has moved or some blanks are missing?

I think it's the angle of the photo combined with the fact that the breakers are further forward than the labels.

Even with the angle, I’d say the alignment is out by 4 or 5 mm… so either the labels isn’t in the right place, or there’s missing blanks, and the modules are creeping along the DIN rail

Just had another look and I think you're right.

You should be able to fit a Type C 20A assuming the circuit remains at 2.5 through the circuit.
