Hi.

I'm installing a wet underfloor heating system in my own house. What would you recommend as the best smart control system? I can hardwire each zone with a thermostat

Cheers

Depends what you are looking for, and your budget. I'm a big fan of Honeywell (Resideo) Evohome. Quite expensive, but flexible and the touch screen controller is intuitive and fast to use, it can work totally stand alone, not requiring an internet connection like many 'smart' heating controls. If you connect to the internet, you can use the phone app which also works very well.

Maximum 12 heating zones, a zone can control more than one valve, & 1 additional hot water zone. The underfloor controller is 5 zones expandable to 8 zones. A wireless room temperature sensor is needed for each zone.

I installed Evohome in my house about 6-7 years ago and it works very well, it saved me a fortune in gas compared to the standard setup that was previously fitted.

What do you mean by best? People seem to have a few definitions for the word.
For some people best =cheapest whereas others want the biggest possible number of gimmicky features they'll never use whilst other people consider the best option to be the one that is easiest to use and just works without any fuss.

Thanks. Maybe I should of said favourite! The Honeywell sounds good. I did have one of these stats a few years ago but the software was faulty. Endless calls to the service centre got me nowhere. In the end I shelved it and got a nest. I may look into it again.
