BASEC surly plus a BS number I believe
I don’t think that Chinese cable would be good for our installs or our economy.
I’ve used Turkish cable from TLC and it was a pleasure to work with but still not good for our economy.
Prysmium take your cable out of the stupid box dispensers or at least try to run some cable out yourself before selling it to the people who need it to be efficient - my rant over!
Nothing, lovely to work with. Tested ok on the roll (the one time I tested it!)
Just that we should be buying UK manufactured items if we can.
In the basic principles of BS7671 it states that every item of equipment shall comply with the appropriate British standard or harmonised standard, if it is not then is must be of an IEC or appropriate countries standard; alternatively the designer is taking responsibility for the safety of the item being as good as or better than the appropriate standard. Is there a regulation that states only to use bs7671 cable? I have come across alot of Chinese branded cable lately on my inspection and testing and wondering what to do about it? Tia.
