Hi there. could someone tell me when carrying out testing and the installation fails a particular test i.e IR, does the person testing stop right there, informs the person ordering the inspection & test and fails the installation or come back again when the fault is rectified? would the testing begin back at the start or where it failed and carry on?:confused5:

Its not a pass or fail, it is merely to see if the installation is safe for continued use. Why would you stop only to go back later? It is up to the customer what they do with information presented to them.

Gosh, could you imagine the MOT test centre when you go in with a couple of bald tyres... tyre 1 fail, go back, tyre 2 fail... Are you referring to a global IRT or a circuit IR...... ??
