Good lad.

I've still got the ongoing project of my own house to finish which I'm doing as and when I'm able so today I'm off to buy a big black 4" diameter grooved rubber flexible friend which got Tidyboiler all excited when I told her - until she found out it's just a flexible connector for a soil pipe ...... ;)

I was a tad disappointed to hear that Big Ben was a clock! :(

I have work tommorrow, I have bought the wife a new Cooker which arrives Friday morning, I need to install a new circuit tommorrow for the fan ovens, the hob is gas, she likes dual fuel, I won't be notifying Building control
haha.

Building Control ........ What's that all about??

Be careful with the gas for the hob though. If you're doing any soldering turn gas off, put a temp. earth bond between the inlet & outlet pipe of the meter then remove meter & shove it outside with the open connections covered to prevent ingress of shyte etc.

When you've finished soldering, reconnect it, remove temp. bond & check for leaks.

The gas is on a baynet type fitting and unplugs then the new one plugs in, I have a good mate who is Gas safe registered who is going to do the gas side in anycase bud, thanks for the warning though, I wouldn't mess about with gas.

I'm sure hobs have to be hard piped with an isolation valve. It's the way I've always done it.
Now where are my old CORGI regs?

Geordie, you're wanted! :)

The pipe comes with the cooker, it is the other end which connects to the supply, the cooker end is just a thread, anyhow I won't be installing it.
