Discuss Would T&E be approved for use in steel conduit and outdoors? in the Electrical Wiring, Theories and Regulations area at ElectriciansForums.net

Hi, My first post so hopefully I am correct in posting it here.

My question is, I am thinking of an IP rated outdoor socket for the back garden.

I have drilled out to the exterior and now wish to move the socket 1 meter away from where the hole is.
I would say use of steel conduit would be best for this application but what cable type would you use in the 20mm galvanised conduit?
OSG doesn't recognise T&E being used in Conduit, and I don't believe singles would be suitable for use passing through bricks without mechanical protection of the sleeving.

Kind Regards and Thanks for your help everyone

It’s fine.. bit awkward to install in conduit especially LSOH 2.5mm T&E
