Discuss Connection of 2 convector heaters using armoured cable on a radial circuit in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

If you want to do the job , lets get some figures down start with the 4kw load for each circuit and whats next , can you work out the current from that , let us know what you think??

a moment of doubt I guess

A heads up Sparky 63...

Your original question was answered quickly but the thread has developed into a worrying tangent that you don't see to have bothered or you dont understand how to do cable calc's for sizing of your conductors...

We shouldn't be prompting you to do this basic step especially at your qual' level... i hope you weren't applying some kind of rule of thumb to this set-up which is even more concerning...

I suggest you do a full cable calc... and to regain some honour post it up with the correct sized conductor's ..we of course will help with any minor errors if you are having trouble.

To be fair darkwood, as much as I will help someone genuinely trying. If he has the qualifications he is stating, this should be a walk in the park.

It was the theme of half of my posts to show his calcs and help himself ... but yes im getting stalled now if we don;t see any response which shows he's actually working it out for himself then im out of here... i like to help but i aint no mug...

Very confusing, as the original question said ONE radial, then seemed to expand later on in the thread! Be interested to see your volt drop calcs though - might as well see it through now. Daz
