Just a little wake up call to any one who carries out EICR's if you carry out inspections or any other work for that matter where electrium boards are installed check them for the Recalled MCB's,you probably you do but having come across them on inspections in three separate houses over the past week it alarmed me, especially as 2 were showing signs of over heating so guys double check as they are still out there, and have coded them with a code 1 ,for obvious reasons , I have now replaced them, so guys just be aware ,for those unaware the board effected were / are crabtree loadstar , wylex ,sector, volex ,newlec and were installed around 2009 / 10

I looked at the link but couldn't see the rating & date codes

This is my list which I received from Electrium when replacing and checking the CU's.

Each MCB has a 6 letter code printed on the side (eg IRSWRA) its the last 4 letters you need to check.

6A & 10A MCB'S Codes as follows

RIRA RTRA RCRA RHRA RGRA RERA RARA SRRA SSRA.

16A MCBS

RIRA RTRA RCRA RHRA RGRA RERA RARA SRRA

IMO if in any doubt exchange the MCB .

Hope this helps.
