Had niceic guy out today and has advised that behind kitchen units i dont need to fit fire rated clips in trunking. I was under the impression that they were to be fitted in all trunking? Any thoughts?

because in that location, due to a fire, perhaps, fallen cables will not pose a hazard

I am aware that it does not come into effect until 01/01/19 , but i have the new book and want to adhere to it from now on.
Once again as previously stated got to consider the proportional risk involved. From january and there is a piece of plastic trunking to be fitted, for whatever reason, in a sitting room 300mm from the floor from 1 wall to the next wall.
Would you fit fire rated clips inside or would you say that there is a reduced risk of entanglement because of the height of the trunking?
