Hi - very new to this forum but having had a look at some of the previous posts - this is probably the best site for me to get some help.

I have a lighting circuit i my garage (1 light activated from 2 switches) and i need to add an additional light to this circuit. I think it is as simple as running a 1.5mm cable from the current light to the new one but am probably wrong.

If anyone can offer any advice it would be great - in terms of skill level, i don't thnk it's beyond my capability but i have been given a couple of estimates of £100+ which does seem a little extreme !

Thanks

well £100 not that expensive especially if its a vapour proof flourescent fitting, labour traveling to site when you look at the costs involved its a reasonable price , it is simple 1.5 to next fitting joint cables to appropriate terminals and the jobs done , but if a spark was to do it then you would get a Minor works certificate

If it was near me I'd charge an hour and half for the first hour (£39) plus bits. so a fiver for a batten light and a bit of 1.5. £44. £100+ is steep
