Help with wattage rating of potentiometer

A potentiometer has a wattage rating of 3 and voltage rating of 100 what would this mean electrically, and how could u transform 25w into 3 watts

Not a lot. What you have stated is not enough to work out the part in question. Many resistors have a voltage rating of X but that is not the v^2/R power limit limit, rather the safe long-term operating for the resistive element.

Thank you for replying ill use that I've just been trying to find a pot that has a wattage over 1/2 w a at higher power rating pot
