I was reading about this yesterday. The thing is though, even if they increase efficiency, you still need to take into account the overall lifetime. For LEDs (good quality ones at least) this will be many times longer and so will weight the efficiency figures. Daz
 
Yeah, but they may improve. We might all be encouraging our customers to upgrade to incandescents in ten years time!! Then they will make CFLs even better after that... It's light 'bulb' top trumps!
