Discuss inspection bend cover in outside plastic conduit - top or bottom? in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

I think these were used as the boxes stick out much further on horizontal bends round the edge of a wall. Would these be fitted with the plate on top or underneath?
Ah, okay I get it now, I wouldn,t have a box of anykind there, I would have a bend around the wall from a spring and if the run was long a through box after the bend.
 
I agree with MDJ - use a bending spring & through box close by...
But if you have to absolutely use an inspection bend around the external corner of a building then personally I'd have the cover on the bottom
