Just looking through jobs again and came across this tempting little number check out the salary ;)

https://jobsearch.direct.gov.uk/GetJob.aspx?JobID=4107170&JobTitle=Electrician&rad=20&rad_units=miles&pp=25&sort=rv.dt.di&vw=b&re=134&setype=2&tjt=Electrician+&where=Cambridgeshire&q=&AVSDM=2013-10-18T10%3a20%3a00-05%3a00

That ad is a mess...
"MUST be NVQ qualified or equivalent and hold a valid gold JIB card to get on site. Ideally looking for JIB card"

The salary details are most likely wrong. Ring em up.

Salary 13, 000, 00. - 15, 000, 00.

That can't be right, especially for a proper qualified electrician. *not*cough*not*Electrical Trainee-chancer*

Ring him up "excuse me 13k salary?
him "shyte, i meant 13, 000, 000"

que the whole of the electriciansforums applying for that job lol.

Balls, I thought it was, I've been Spelling Policed!!!

Don't worry bonny lad .. I'm struggling myself today.

I've been hit with a double whammy. First I have a nasty eye infection which is affecting my sight - or more like the film of oinkment is - and second I'm trying to break in this new pair of Varifocal specs. I've had them back to optician's twice so far for tweaking, but hey aren't quite right yet.

I'll percy veer and by the end of next week they should be spot-on.

takes a while to get used to varifocals. then when you're trying to get your small terminal driver in a screw slot that's above head height, you'll end up buying a pair of dennis taylor's. with the varifocal bit at the top.

That's exactly right - ceiling roses can be a nightmare.

I'll give him a bell but I can't see how he got the salary wrong. The machine operatives in the factory I work in are on 18000 a year and that's blooming unskilled.

aldi are advertising for store assistants. £14,000 up to £18,000. makes a mockery of these employers wanting qualified sparks for the same money as shelf stackers.
