live to earth on light circuit only getting 25v any ideas

testing live to earth at different light points in a circuit only getting 25v is it because theres no earth present any ideas

lokks like you've answered it yourself. if it's just in the one circuit, either there no cpc on the circuit ( common in early 70's on lighting ) or the cpc is broken somewhere.

is there any spots on the circuit ? a lot of diy merchants cut the earths off cause theres nowhere to put them !!

The requirement to include cpc in the lighting came in with 14th edition in 1966.
Therefore, there should be no 70's houses without.
