Hi - the 2 Ohms may be ok if the installation is designed for that, as you would for a TT. But in summary - ask owner to call DNO and request a safety inspection (free) as they've been told by an Electrician that it may be unsafe. My concern is it may indicate a deteriorating condition and Client could end up with no earth. Apologies to all who've already said this on the thread, or if you've already established it's 0.2 Ohms . Must have coffee ...Strange to not comment on it, but if all circuits have rcd protection, is that reading even a problem? Although if I measured that value then I'd still get the dno out for an unreliable earth, in case it gets worse.
