They have been around a couple of years. 1.5l 55mpg claimed. Cheap as chips to run, trying To keep overheads to the minimum

Just had a look and they look like a good van, nissan are a bit hit and miss with reliabilty but generally quite good, 55mpg eh? My van wouldn't get that coasting downhill with the engine turned off :D

i've got a nissan vanette, 2001. 2.3D. my second one. dead reliable. economical. the NV200 is the latest model. van of the year in , i think, 2010.

Beings as they've been out a few years it would be worthwhile searching google for an hour or two to see if there are any common problems yet

The old nissans like tells go on and on and on, I know a bloke with one with 300k on the clock, they are dead slow mind and rear wheel drive, when they do break parts are dear. My choice for eco van would be an old combo 1.3cdti, mine would get 45mpg with foot flat to floor all the time.

I will agree with that! The engine doesn't turn fast enough to cause any wear :D nigels had done 250,000 when he sold it and it was in perfect order, always started first time and always got you where you needed to go, just a few hours late:D

Got a 61 plate had it from brand new can't wait to get rid hate the thing it is the worst van I have had, I've driven transits traffics connects and astras and I can say That if ur around my height of 6ft 2 the ache in your knees wil get unbearable after A while! Just my opinion tho :)

Hi We have two NV200 with euro5 engine se they have been very good van and getting 55mpg when we change the fiat doblo and vw caddy will be getting two more they do over 1000miles a week in each no break downs hope this helps.

I got a new shape 58 plate Peugeot expert "professional" (just like me, hahaha), best van I've had so far (touch wood) goes like stink gets loads in, only prob I've had is the EGR valve keeps playing up but I've had it replaced now

I have an NV200, and I wouldn't swap it for anything, especially something made by Ford. Not to mention the payload is bigger than the LWB high top Connect. And it was a pre-reg so it was an absolute bargain! Bluetooth, parking sensor, steel bulkhead all standard equipment.

And if the wife's not in it I can get it to 60mpg.

but not 60mph! my old smoke box has the best engine management system in the world - my right foot. none of these chinese electronics to go wong. parts are dirt cheap from scrappy. bloody noisy beast though with that 2.3d between the seats.

I have an NV200 from new, and ocassionally (once every 2 months, maybe) it would refuse to start (starter cranked forever but engine wouldn't fire). After a couple of trips to the garage and replacing fuel parts and other stuff they decided it was an engine management computer issue so needed a software upgrade. After doing that (another day in the garage) it seems to be fixed.

The carpet seems to wear very quickly, with a hole appearing within a thousand miles or so, this picture being at 3500 miles. Also there is a silly hollow in the door sill where all the gravel and dust collects with no natural way out, which is a bit of a design flaw for a commercial vehicle. Oh, and there's a bit of plastic by the seat which the seatbelt catches on which is annoying!

Here, let me help with that New Genuine Nissan NV200 Carpet Mats (set of 2) | eBay :D

that's the problem with all modern vehicles. engine management systems that shut down if you fart. just an excuse for the main dealers to rake in oodles of cash.

Yeah just like that stupid problem i had with mine recently after i left the battery disconnected overnight, that must have been ecu related because it fixed itself and has been fine since!

just need to ask myself. what use is an engine management system that tells you the camshaft is out of synch. after the valves have smashed into the pistons? a bit like a MCB tripping after the cable has melted.

you wear stilettos whilst driving stroppy? ;-)
Yes. What's wrong with that? Slip into my steel toecaps when I park on site, everyone's happy. :) And my pencil skirt is stylish, yet practical.

Seeing those mats reminded me that my boss claimed to be buying some about 10 months ago! I wonder if they are lurking in his shed?

I've got an nv200, good van only problem I had was with my siding door not locking every time with the ikey buttons. Just picked brand new replacement up yesterday courtesy of Nissan as they couldn't find the problem. Ive drove transits connects and berlingos in the past but do like this van

When they first come out I thought they looked awesome then I went to Nissan to see one and I didn't know what to think. If they were bigger say, the primastar size they would look really nice, but it just looks to narrow and short for the shape if you get my drift.

The new transit custom looks really nice

ive got one, had it since march 11 and been very reliable.
got 24k on it now and needs a clutch that isn't covered under warranty.
last Nissan i ever buy!!
