Discuss not electrical related, need a helicoil m8 helicoil urgently in the Electrical Tools and Products area at ElectriciansForums.net

cheers for the replies, they did them at machine mart, last option was to take it to m10 as it was on an aluminium head so wanted m8 helicoil to make it stronger, plus there is just enough room to fit a 10mm socket in for a m8, typical isn't it, was on the way to a job this morning had to get there for 8.15 and was going down the motorway and the No 2 diesel injector decided to come out stripping the threads and snapping the spill off pipes, had to wait for recovery wagon, just helicoiled it now and put it all back together, just need to get some spill off pipes now in the morning if i can find some cheers

yes fitted new copper washer, sorry didn't word it to well, it's the actual leak off fittings which plug into the top off the injector which are broke, can get them off ebay, but can't wait for delivery got to go and do this job now on sunday, cheers anyway lads

i had the exact same thing on a primastar ( trafic ). tapped it to 10mm and bolted the bugger back in. was lucky that the plumbing wasn't damaged in my case.

scrapyard is my main agent. always 1st port of call. tyres @ £20 apiece fitted. can't be bad.
