Hello everyone
new on here ,so be nice

i have a large back outhouse at my property
that was used back in the day for a coal bunker/toilet .

this has all been removed now and made into a bedroom .the walls are solid and have all been plasterboarded .

there are 2 x light switches

but no plug sockets ( at the moment there is an extension lead plugged into a socket in the kitchen ) powering the room .

my question is ......................

how can i run a cable either from my fuse box in the living room or somewhere else .to power plug sockets in the new room ??

can i run the cable from the plug socket in the kitchen to power sockets ( or is that dangerous )

a detailed how to would be very helpfull

cable i need ,sockets ,etc etc

Take a cable from a socket in the living room, making sure you spur from the ring, and not spurring from a spur - then have a FCU and feed as many sockets as you want in the bedroom from the FCU in a radial format.

Livingroom socket - FCU - bedroom socket(s)

What's a plug socket, no on a serious note, Ans 1 with difficulty Ans 2 is it your kitchen or next door's? Ans 3 it would be very helpful Ans 4 electric cable/sockets

in 4 words:

it will be installed properly, inspected & tested for conformance....you will also recieve relevent certification for works carried out...

this is an electricians forum....for electricians.

DIYer or wind up merchant?

The comment "a detailed how to would be very helpful" and probably the title of the thread as well makes me think its a wind up, a very boring one.

:sleep1:

You want to turn it into habitable room yet you want to bypass having it installed and tested. You want to use it as a bedroom, sleeping risk. No mention of a smoke alarm which is a must in this case.
Pay some money, no offence but you need to, it pays in the long run.

I found a nursing forum once, I wonder if they'd tell me on there how to administer an injection. I'm applying for work in some places where I'll need immunisations for yellow fever and a few other things but I don't want to pay a doctor because it can't be that difficult. Can it?

Trev,
can you pls give me the site of the nursing forum - I like the sound of that!
ps I've already got the outfit (in PVC)

As an old newbie, I am amazed by the original question, I don't know enough (which is dangerous) but I do know electricity kills, so if in doubt get a proper skilled electrician in and sleep nights.
