So much for them!

Just drilled thru the upstairs lights supply while fitting a stair gate, nowhere near a zone I'm aware of and the house is only 15 years old!

Can think of better ways to be spending my Sunday, 'buss mans holiday' springs to mind!
 
Bummer! Now I know you don't need a smart a**e coming on giving you grief, but I have an image of you drilling below a light switch to fit the frame of the gate. Now if that's not the case, then you have every right to feel miffed:yes:
 
Once found a double s shaped part of a ring in the middle of a wall once. That was impressive when the mini grinder went through it - twice!

bet it was above the CU downstairs which , of course, you can't see from where you were.
 
Polo1 I think I can feel smug in this case though after Telectrix comment am feeling slightly less so as they are in line with the the DB, albeit on a different floor of the house.
Still think its bad practise tho!
