Why's that then Keniff? althouh proteus are crappy if I needed a breaker for a board I would always try to add the proper make, and as they are very easy to get hold of you have now Given me a headache wondering haha

I've swapped a few for control gear, better to rip the lot out and replace them with something half quality in my opinion. Changed a 16amp yesterday that had tripped and killed it's internals

You could void any warranty by fitting non manufacturers parts (despite the BS number being the same) - check instructions etc. I agree, I'd be ripping the Proteus board out, although just looking at it will probably cause it to fall apart. Best place for a Proteus board is the bin :(

i just dont want to go to citys as i dont have an account and they charge the earth!! ill try a hager i have one of those!

I don't like this myself, as bad as proteus are, mixing MCB makes in a board unless theres no other choice is a bodge it and leg it Job IMHO, there you are though just my view.

also, if the CEF prices are too high it doesn't do any harm to haggle. I also don't have an account with them but got a few Click Mode sockets and stuff from them last week. Bill came to £60 something. I laughed and said it was twice what I expected to pay and the guy went out the back and came back with £46. Still at least 20% more than I expected but cheaper to buy at that price than waste time going somewhere else...........
