I'm laying down the gauntlet - today I heard about an installation not very far away from us that took 2.5 hours to install. Wow I said - that long?

Beat that!:willy_nilly:

dare I ask what size system?

I'm hoping it's about 2kWp on a bugalow.

Saying that, I have vague recollections of 4 of us installing a 4 kWp system in about 3.5 hours one evening that mad november, sometimes it all just comes together, with a team that's working like clockwork.

4kwp, slate roof, but it was a bungalow - no scaffolding fo course so that saved a bit of time! Cables flapping under the panels which just happened to be in the gutter - literally! I didn't ask any more other than price - 6k so it wasn't even that cheap, it getting dark when they did it, 2nd job of the day.

Well they did ....... and it was getting dark so it was a good job it was those magic panels that work at night. I'm thinking about offering them to our customers ;-)

oh yeah, I forgot, when we did the job I mentioned, we had our other spark there the next morning to commission the system in daylight.
