Hi people,

Recently I am doing rewires using conduit however this is a pain and slow, also it is impossible to cover all areas what are your experiences and any tips ?

As I had a few properties where rats have bitten wire including twin and earth, rj45 and coax.

I have used SY in the past in place of flexible cables , because dogs kept chewing flexes ...

Also have used high impact pvc tube in loft due to squirrels also

Have used steel security tubing on squirrel infested nursing homes, it thinner than gav conduit. Couplers, bends etc, are clamped on using tension screws. Quick & easy fitting available 8mm, 10mm, 12mm....... to 25mm

Where do you get it from? I've tried to get hold of it before for running cat5 in but had no luck

Did a school classroom in SWA because the cables kept getting chewed by squirrels , call to a hotel fire yesterday where a rat had chewed through a switch wire , the wire had got wet , and due to not having an RCD arched smoldered and set fire to the floor boards cables now installed in that area in connex

SWA is not squirrel proof, the sheath is made of plastic!
