Discuss Red brick conduit / cable in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

It won’t be the only FP200 run outdoors - would be good to see a longitudinal study on its abilities against weather and UV.

I’d imagine the colour may fade to quite near the colour of the bricks but I’m not sure the insulation would stand up to the UV and the cold it may become very brittle I have seen FP outside on a number of occasions but does anyone have any solid data that it’s suitable for outdoor use?
Edit: just answered my own question red FP isn’t suitable for outdoors white or black is recommended that’s Prysmian anyway

I’ve run some outside lighting on the sheltered side of a couple of houses in the past, knowing about the white. Wasn’t aware black was available.
I always keep a reel of white for that reason, it’s always nice to do a neat install using FP.
