morning

i'm quoting for a pv job, first in a few months where a valid epc doesn't already exist. The house has an epc but this is an E, we would normally talk to the assessor and ask them to calculate if pv was included, would this give them a D and have the epc done after commissioning - im not sure we can do this now - can someone clarify please?

Sorry - just found it "
Ofgem have recently updated their guidance regarding when an EPC is required for a MCS installation who then wish to apply for the Feed-in Tariffs incentive.
The revised energy efficiency requirement are as follows:

  • For installations with an application date on or after 10 May 2016, the EPC of level D or above must have been issued before the commissioning date of the FIT installation."
hopefully they have done some energy efficient updates since the epc was done.

Couldn't system be installed, EPC be done (so assessor sees panels/inverter etc), EPC issued then system commission?
