SDS drill being used instead of core drill?

I have an old Milwaukee core drill.
No safety clutch but it is a beast.

I had a decent Hitachi sds which I used to cut a core and it knackered the clutch in one hit, not worth the risk buy a core drill.

Only if it is any good, higher end SDS will have a safety clutch.

Just buy a proper core drill

Its not just the cost of the hiring, its also the time wasted to go and get it and then again to take it back.

So @DavidSpark you need to explain the dumb you gave me ...

use a sds with 10mm drill bit centre hole work from there to 4inch.
go in your van take out the lump hammer like thor
,the jobs a good one .

My 20yr old DeWalt 2kg SDS with a clutch will do 125mm cores!
