Discuss Small 50x50 adaptable box in the UK Electrical Forum area at ElectriciansForums.net

Thanks for all your help chaps, will see if those schneider boxs will fit. Yahtzee, you say the earth bar fits, but does it sit behind the moulded thread of the Wiska, if so the gland thread won't reach the earth bar, unless you are using a specific gland with a longer internal thread, would be interested to know. Cheers

Err not sure what you mean about the earth bar? They install exactly the same as in the 306 boxes, ie they go between 2 gland entries ( not the single entry) and then you screw through the earth bar on to the thread of the gland/s

With the gland I'm using, once it is fully wound onto the wiska plastic thread, there is no gland thread sticking through on the inside, it is not long enough, maybe a need a longer thread gland-what make did you use

screw a 20mm brass bush (1/2"long thread) from the inside. then add a galv coupler. screw SWA gland into coupler.

That's weird, the ones I use are made by SWA and to be fair there isn't much sticking though, there is just enough for the screw to bite in to. Not sure you could get any less thread that would work in anything
