Hi guys,

Not sure what section to put this in.

I have had a renault kangoo now for 18 months fantastic little van never missed a beat.

I have racked it and un racked so many times now as nothing seems to suit or be able to fit all my gear! How do you guys manage in a small van? I am toying with the idea of replacing with a larger van but I got this so cheap (2008 plate with 32000 two owners £3000) I am reluctant to have to let it go.

How do you guys manage it!?

carry less crap. have a sort thgrough. it's not tools that do it, its all those part rolls of cable and the junk you think you'll need but never do.

As Tel says. I've been guilty of hoarding cable in my van at times to the point where a quarter of the floor space has been roll ends of various cable. Take everything out bar tools and put it back being ruthless about what else goes in.

yeah, but sod's law states tha the day after you ditch something out of the van, you'll need it on a job miles away from home.

yep. bigger van more clutter. end up with a 40ft. artic and still fill it..

Loose stuff is the worst, and tool leads etc. Try and keep your gear boxed, makes it easier for the thieves, but saves you hours hunting and unraveling tangled flexes , sleeving etc. And chuck the old C/Us' , you know you wont use them lol.

all my power tools are boxed and chained and padlocked together and to steps and 3.3KVA tx. chain bolted to floor of van. not perfect, but makes it a lot harder for the thieving scumbags.
