Good evening,
Got stuck on a section of my written work which we have been instructed to complete but as I haven't experienced these scenarios yet am struggling a little bit and haven't had much luck researching through notes/ handouts and guidance notes. People on here have been very helpful thus far , so once again just wanted to pick your brains... Many thanks for any input. (will be much appreciated)
1. Describe, for this installation, two types of faults most likely to occur in each of the following.
a) Wiring systems in the loft space above the first floor.
(could this be insulation of cables could get damaged if incorrect cable path is chosen i.e if caught between boarding and would another one be to make sure the loft insulation it's self doesn't interfere with the cable as this can affect it can't it?)
b) Equipment and accessories in the intake room.
(so would this be faults at distribution board(s) ?)
2. Describe, for each of the following symptoms, the most likely electrical fault.
a) A fault has occurred on a lighting circuit in the glass house area, so that when it is switched on the RCBO protecting the circuit operates.
(could this be something to do with earth?)
b) The outside lights above the entrance only turn off when the protective device is turned off.
(could this be something to do with the wiring of the circuit? wiring fault)
Sorry to harp on, just wanted some confirmation and any knowledge from anyone that may be able to help .
Kind regards
