I was the first spark to turn up at this job in Newcastle...he didnt kick me out, I left after discussions with my boss. I was originally supposed to go move some wiring for the plumbers. I said I would wire the Y plan as well seeing as I was there. The customer refused to let me work past 7pm, would not let the plumbers put a plug on the boiler flying lead and was generally an obmoxious ****. Seeing as I never got there until 3.30pm, there was no guarantee that I wouldve been finished for 7 pm. He was offered space heaters or me working later than 7pm, but the guys carer wouldnt have it.I must laugh Liam B as I think I Know which plumbing job you are on about. I was called to go to this property with another spark after the Guy had kicked the other spark out. When I arrived British gas, Transco, The Health and Safety Exec were all there and me and the other spark refused to take the job on as it was a total farce. It was in Newcastle.
I apologise on my earlier threads foe mentioning names - I respect the right of other peoples privacy and I apologise.

Please dont slag me off for not knowing what I am doing before you know the facts and not what the customer told you.
No, Im the spark who will not be threatened by a client.
It was neither, the guys carer was a total idiot who thought he knew everything. The boiler location was tricky because of the existing wiring and soffit locations but I hadnt looked at the plumbing. The plumbers asked me to reconnect the old wiring onto the new kit but I would never do that and sign my name to it. It was the carer causing all the grief as he thought he knew everything but knew nothing. Everything I said to the client was heard by a company director and he told me to walk. I have never, ever been talked to in that manner by anyone and that guy was a total idiot IMHO. He was made offers for heating but he wouldnt budge on anyone working late.
I wasnt on site until 3.30 as I had already done 1 y plan that day. The office shouldve made a better job of planning the workforce really...I was there to move some cables but said I would wire the system as a favour to the customer.

The job wasnt booked in that day and I was doing them a favour. This is why the company is a joke. Electricians turning up at 3 and announcing they wanted to work past 7pm at such short notice. I would have booted you myself. Utter inconvinience.

According to the office, they sent 2 people the following day and it was the same type of circus. At the end of the day, I wouldve worked late to get the system working as most people would probably do. But to be spoken to in such a manner with my boss hearing every word and then threatened, I wouldve thought he will have a long wait.
You really need to get your facts right before you try to judge people matey...any reasonable customer would usually be glad of someone working late WITHOUT OVERTIME to get them a working system. The guys attitude did him no favours and it was my boss that told me to leave. Whatever the client possibly told you is extaggerated and twisted to suit his own needs. I did nothing wrong, my boss is happy that I did nothing wrong so Im happy and will offer to work late to finish a job whenever the need arises.
what is it with bonding the bathroom radiator its not needed for like the last 10 years i will not do it looks **** too if you do do it.
i always find if you over order on van stock you can get a bit back lol need to ----- them as much as possible. i worked out that if you do 50 miles to a job its costs just under £12 in diesel and they give you £7 so your down £10 a day so thats a drum of cable in the garage a day till they sort it out i will win from the team hahaha
how do they owe you £2000 ? i am quitting soon so would like to no if you got your last months pay ?
I believe there are systems in place which permit you to retain equipment and materials if you are owed money? Mechanics Lien is one of them. Not looked into it in any great detail but if they owe you money and you have their van and tools or other valuable assets playing this card may at least get them to pay you quick.

seems a bit strange you cant answer what i ask.....have you not received ANY pay???? if so does it match the amount of jobs you have done?? surely you have a wage slip????
I am part of a plumber/gas engineer team who up until today worked for total trade. Have been told during a meeting today we are being made redundant aswell as many others. I understand there being no work but my greivance is I am owed wages for the past 9 months I have worked there!!! Each month I have been missing at least £250 from my pay. I contact the office to be told 'timesheets havent arrived or there not patying us for days weve waited outside plumb centre for them to fax us jobs which they always do around 5 o clock!!! ect..... but still never recieved what im owed. Numerous line managers have been 'sorting it' but even they have ended up being owed wages. If you work there now i suggest you prepare for redundancies and kissing goodbye to any wages owed. Cowboy company. Will be visiting trading standards
