Went the other day to fit some light fittings in a mates house he’s just inherited, and ended up having to Rewire the upstairs lights as they were wired in TRS
Whilst up in the loft I found these....

I used to live in Lutterworth Road, me sister lives off the Harlestone road, posh eh! Used to hang out 'round the market place, Criterion and such places of ill repute. Don't imagine it's even there now though. That was another lifetime.
 
You'd be surprised how early they started. My local museum has electric cars that are pre first world war, and I think they were around decades before that.
