What about this grand alliance i keep hearing of consisting of labour/SNP/Plaid cymru and the SDLP.

And then the UK enters the uncharted territory of Italian politics, where the Government changes almost by the season - god help us ALL if this happens.

Said it before and will say it again - I expect 2 elections this year, if the first one doesn't result in a fairly conclusive Government by no more than 2 parties.

For any of you thinking of voting for Ukip, remember pre war Germany where the people were without hope and had been humiliated
They turned their heads to a very dangerous and in hindsight foolish extreem party, don't wish or assist the same to happen here

The disillusioned electorate who have succumbed to the anti EU propaganda that has been dished out by the powerful and the wealthy

We could be suckered into a coalition of fear and English nationalism, remember the anti EU majority is mainly English rather than British based and this election is reflecting that nationalism

There will be sadness and conflict in this country if this Ukip fever is not put out soon, use your x sensibly and do not vote for the same type of failures of the past

As an outsider looking in. Would i be right in thinking if a tory/ukip gov get in, then scotland will more than likely have a rerun of the referendum and go independent.

Nationalism doesn't have to be a dirty word you know. It's not like Ol' Farage is considering genocide is it?!

This time round I'm going against my overall political beliefs and voting lib-dem.

The reasoning behind this is that I recently saw Nick Clegg announce that he would increase spending on mental health.

Even if like every other politician he goes back on his word the subject will be debated and it's profile raised.

Every single government has left the mental health sector badly under funded.

Everyone on here knows someone with mental health issues, so why is it so badly under funded and overlooked?

Hum..... I expect this to be one of the conditions of the SNP for propping up Labour!

If that be the case,we will owe an enormous amount of gratitude to the Scots for saving the future UK rather than its dismembering
It would probably result in a federal Britain and thats not a bad outcome compared to the complete destruction of the Uk as it is if a Tory Ukip coalition becomes (heaven forbid) a reality

I will vote UKIP, if only as a way to shake up the system. Tory/Lab/Lib are all the same, Whitehall runs the country anyway. The more that vote against the norm will make the establishment think.

If only to shake up the system? Farage is a privately educated, former banker who supports fox hunting.
How much more a part of "the system" can he be?

Are you kidding??

I know its the 1st April but all Nicola Sturgeon wants (is desperate for) is for an Independent Scotland!

So at the time of writing this post:

conservatives 5
labour 3
UKIP 12

that won't good reading for either of the big parties, least of all Labour!

Snp for me.
as I've stated before scottish labour will be lucky if they get a seat in scotland after last years performance.
if brown ,darling and Jim Murphy had kept out of the whole devo thing they might have had a chance but they couldn't keep their nose out.
ive voted labour most of my life and just think they do not represent the working man as they were meant to( if they ever did is a story for another time).
as for ukip.... Watch v for vendetta.

That Electricians are a bunch of Right Wing Fascists?!

And I always thought the 'Working Class' were Socialists at heart.

No its the other way round "socialists" assume that the working class will vote for them, even when they totally *uck it up.

Its time for all socialists to wake up and smell the Costa Coffee.... and offer something more than rhetoric about fairness, progressive taxation and the like.
