Did you hear about the blender manufacturer that was going bust? They went into liquidation :):)
 
Or use a joint similar to the ones being discussed yesterday on the washing machine flex thread. Cut back to undamaged cable and extend with new flex.
Never done it myself but......

But I can assure you they work a treat when you put an angle grinder through an appliance flex.
