Oh bugger, I can't drive a tractor . But i can write a spec & materials list properly and then go on to wire the building, is that any good ?

If he knew what he was doing, he wouldn't have been wiring the pendants in singles in the first place. Going on what you've written, neither you or your Electrician (If he exists) have the first clue what your talking about. Your just fishing for information.

To the OP, not you Andy Don't think we are being harsh on the UE unidentified electrician, come clean mate you will be doing the work wont you? you're the mystery Sparky, if this job actually exists, you need to call an Electrician pronto, not angle for info on this forum, Ive enjoyed our little chats but enough is enough, get real. Surely he must be aware of the full spec as he must have quoted against it ......... ...... ........... ........... ............ .............. after all, nobody agrees a price to do a rewire without knowing the full or agreed spec do they?

not necessary unless the ceiling is the boundary of a fire compartment. e.g. in a garage with a room above, or if the room/s above are separate dwellings.
