Below is what I have found. You can do the math
Globally, crude's reserves-to-production ratio has hovered between 40-55 years. (Then the well runs dry)

Hi, I'm Zoë, 34, female, no university, based in Liverpool, U.K. I've worked as a medical laboratory assistant in the NHS for 14 years full time and I'm on a relatively low-average wage.
I've always seen the trades as a 'man's world' and have been nervous to go into the industry but now feel...
I have used Crabtree for years. It's still ok, but I just don't like their sockets, as they stick out quite a bit compared to say MK or even the Lap ones.
Which brand is good to use? I do like the look of MK, but it's a bit expensive. I tend to buy in bulk and keep it in stock.
Hi all, looking for some advice with regards to extending cables for a consumer unit change. The old board is a mess inside with cables being cut short etc. What's your go to method for extending. When I've only had to extend a couple I've used the Ideal inline splice connectors, but this is...
This was commenced at 2.30pm today after having to locate and rectify an open neutral on a ring, missing earth continuity on a lighting circuit and 2 sockets spurred off the cooker. ? It's as good as I could make it with the older T&Es , and annoying that everything barring 2 lives of a ring...

Hi,
I am a 35 year old electronics engineer working on test development side of things. I have been really unhappy and stressed in my job and am looking to change careers. As someone with a degree in electronics and keen to work more physically rather than sitting behind a computer, I am...
I’m in two minds whether to change my current 18v Dewalt SDS/Combi/Impact. I currently work in the Fire and Security industry. Mainly doing Alarms and CCTV.
I rarely use the Impact, the Combi is okay when it works and the SDS is good. But I’ve found that when I need to put up say a PIR and the...
I’m debating on a landlords forum on the use of “change of occupancy” on an EICR.
A large number of landlords feel this is to much, and it should be 5 years only, they are asking their electricians not to put this, and in the main their electricians are doing as they ask.
My reading of GN3...
Hi all.
Did an EICR today on a rented property that had a CU change about 8 years ago.
Found a few things wrong, the main issue really is that a few sockets are fed in 1.5 from the ring and a couple of wall lights are fed of the ring as well in 1.5.
Just wondering how much testing you guys do...
Have had an estimate accepted for a CU change in a 1980s bungalow. I based the estimate mainly on an EICR which was carried out on the property by another spark last summer, plus I had a quick look at the existing board, meter, and bonding.
The EICR has all circuits listed as ref method C...
Did my first consumer unit change yesterday.
A few dodgy things with the old board as I’m sure most will see.
Owner wanted bringing up to date with individual circuit RCD protection and surge protection.
So fitted a Fusebox 10 way RCBO board. Complete with surge protection.
Also removed the...
