i`m helpful....to them worth the effotrt.....Just reading a few peoples replies here. Is this forum about helping people or just mocking people who might not be clued up as what some other people think they are? The majority on here are helpful but Glennsparks reply and sparkless's are just unhelpful and frankly character destroying!
Have a word with yourselves!

i thought my advice about removing the lid to empty any water out was helpful-ish
Digging up an old thread here but I finally done an ir test. Got a lend of an ir tester, primary results are ok, its the secondary results that show a short so I think the transformer is goosed then, it cant be fixed....
Any thoughts....
Unless you can get someone who knows how a 230/110V transformer works and how to test it then you're probably on to a lost cause I'm afraid. May as well just buy a new one.
