Hi guys,
Long story short, i am an auto electrician, who owns a garage only doing car electrics.
over the past two years we have seen a huge improvement in revenue and it is time to upgrade.

currently we use the snap on modus, launch x431 master, autodata cd3, vivid workshop and tolerance data.

we are now wanting to get into specialist diagnostics and programming and have ordered the gm tech2, vagcom and Mercedes star.

we are in need of an all round scanner that is very very good, i have been looking and want something similar to the launch x431 pad or maxi-sys ms908. I do not like the snap on verus so don't want that.

i also need new software to provide me with wiring diagrams, fusebox and fuses but something better than what we have and ideally coverage to at least 2013 vehicles.

and if there is one, some sort of software that can help troubleshoot via the fault code.

thanks in advance guys

Now then, although your fishing trip may have got you a nibble from someone who has actually used some of the kit you have listed (modus, vagcom included) i think you would be better searching one of the model specific forums, for the kit you are getting. Also, the technical back-up and service is a major part of the purchase with these items, before you buy, fire a load of quick and likely questions at them.If you get a rake of "erms..." go elsewhere...good hunting.
