The point is, if you are competant have the qualifications and are prepared to work abroad then great, however at least try to learn the Bloody language, thats all were saying regarding the OP.

I wonder what proportion of UK sparks working around the world are fluent in the local language?

That said, I doubt anyone's going to get to grips with BS7671 requirements without speaking decent English, so you probably have a reasonably point.
