Replaced 3 way bell intercom system all cables bell out ok intercom speech panel working ok but problem is that I cannot here telephone end speech but they can here me at speech unit but I cannot here them this happens on all 3 telephones what can the problem be as cables are ok no faults on cables

Firstly check the 2 preset volume controls on the control unit...the are marked as speaker volume and mic volume....set them to required level, but not to high, as to course feedback.

Cables usually 5 cores.....neg, mic, speaker, call and door release.....can only suggest checking cable, and connecting just 1 phone to the unit on a short cable to test. If there is still not speech...then can only be faulty unit.

I have just had a similar problem on a bell door entry system, you could buzz the flats ok, person outside hears the person inside (both volumes approx half) and you could release the door lock but could not hear the person outside further testing found the voice box to be faulty, removed from panel and replaced all working fine now
