Absolutely. The border checkpoints have disappeared. They were pointless anyway as there are so many backroads. I just drove round the checkpoints.Up until 2 weeks ago I was being stopped four times a day by Gardai. Needed letters to verify I am going to "essential works". However, now it's down to twice a day and no longer been asked to show letter.You sense the foot is being taken off the pedal.

You've no idea what the Gardaí have been like through this. It's become a totalitarian police state.4 times a day? I’ve worked pretty much throughout the last year and never been stopped and never heard of anyone I know being stopped.
