Starting my design course in September now I have bgb (reqs) on site guide gn3 oh and a Brian scadden design and verification book is this enough I hope so to do the course someone said you need gn1 as well don't really want to spend put any more

from a quick google its openbook and you can take these into the exam with you

  • The IEE wiring regulations BS7671 17th Edition
  • IEE On-site Guide and/or AEEU Guide to Good Electrical Practice
  • IEE Guidance Note 3

I've done the course a few years back when it was a C & G level 3 think its now a level 4. It's a useful course to take but if its anything like the one I did with Cannaught Electrical before they went bust you will spend most of the course doing the coursework module. We never actually covered anything in class that was in preparation for the exam. That Brian Scadden book is useful but beware of the numerous mistakes in there.
