Seen Makita do a portable coffee machine which is powered via battery. I'm a big coffee lover and always looking to make it cheaper (in the long run) and easier to enjoy a drink during the day.

A battery style coffee machine would be ideal. Especially as you only need the coffee grinder and cold water.

I've looked at a few options for battery coffee machines but it's hard to know what is a gimmick and what is a good machine.

Anyone got any experience with battery machines?

I'm also a huge coffee lover, in fact it's about all I drink these days.
I know I drink to much of it but don't drink Alcohol anymore so I need some enjoyment.

8 oz jar of instant from lidl's £1.95. who needs grinders ( except for the cannabis freaks).

Guy at work had a mains operated Bialetti coffee machine, he was Italian so a bit "odd" and fussy regarding coffee...........

Ball cocks, I bet you are one of those people that hoards newspapers and rummages in bins for food but when you pop your clogs you'll be leaving £3M to either the Labour party or the cats protection league....... ;o))))

Rpa also needs to do his nails........ ;o)))

Working man nails... I have mouse-pusher-nails...
Good to know that you check out blokes nails...

Skint mate. Wife and two kids that nick it all...
My treat to myself is £5 worth of Lions Midget Gems....

Always like a nice coffee at work but never resorted to battery power. Always able to hook up some sort of power, even if temp, for water boiling.
For battery free grinding and brewing I can recommend the Hario skerton grinder and the Hario V60 01 dripper with matching filters.

Some people call it fussy, I don't. I just like good strong coffee. Espresso strength, nice creme, full rich body.....uuummm

Anyway, I smashed my cafetiere so I'm looking at other options. I usually make a flask full of strong black coffee and just put it in my bag.

Don't deal much with customers... I do industrial work. The Project guys have to deal with the customers..

.... the ex wife meh..... she had enough from me.

Someone else who can't cope with you..... Shocker.....
I'd divorce you in a second mate...

You ever thought of cleaning your microwave???? Just a thought...

Yes, Spoon, I have...
just thought of it, but that's it really...

To be fair, it is a very heavily used combi oven/grill/microwave and it is also over 10 years old...
and it was recently cleaned by a specialist company...

Next time, I'll make sure to clean it first!

Heating drinks up in a microwave must mean you have no taste buds, are you a smoker?

Im a smoker and even i dont like coffee heated up in a microwave...

Interesting point SWD and Spoon...I started smoking at 14, got into it more heavily in my 20s and 30s and 40s...I reduced to 5 a day many years ago, and finally quit 4 months ago...so,yes...I am a smoker...I just didn't have one today, or the last 120 days...and I don't intend to have any more...until I am 80, when I'll probably start again.
I'll let you know...

Your taste buds haven't fully recovered yet and to be honest I thought you where 84....... ;o))))

I gave up a 30 to 4o a day habit in around 2006/5

Life is too short to drink any form of gopping instant coffee

I used to use a cafietere but they didn't last due to being of a somewhat fragile nature, so I now use an AeroPress. I'm normally ribbed by other trades for making a posh coffee, and I'll even ask a customer what sort of coffee they're intending to ply me with, but people soon change their mind once they've had a decent brew. You'll also find the AeroPress being used in the specialist coffee shops

My coffee is provided either by Pact Coffee (voucher code for £5 off of your first order) in that there Londinum or from a local micro-roastery in Arundel if I'm over that way

You can also procure coffee bags but they do work out expensive

Do you turn up on site dressed in Tweed and Brogues with a copy of the Times with a half finished crossword puzzle that you then complete whilst sipping on your Artisan coffee by any chance?

;o))))))
