Hello fellow forum members, I have been looking at doing a crimping and connecting course with a well known manufacturer of cable accessories and connectors which they issue a certificate for as well as a soldering course as I have been asked for IPC610 certification for a few jobs at interview which I have been knocked back for based on not having the tickets on soldering and crimping, now I have been soldering for over 25 years and that was not good enough...

I have been offered the crimping course for £810 incl VAT for myself on my own, and told that the price is the same for up to 5 people...working out at £152 a head, what I'm thinking is that I'm willing to pay £300 of that myself and if I can find 4 others to do the day course as well then they can get it at £125 a head and there will be 5 of us in total, I'll pay my bit to the company and the others can pay their bit to the company directly themselves.
I won't name the company on here but will pm their website address if asked..I'm going for the crimping and doing the soldering separately at a later date with another company, just thought I'd ask if anybody is interested in a cable prep and crimping cert? it's good for petrochemical, Avionics, panel building and industrial jobs..

cheers
